The South Korean supplier achieved production yields exceeding 80% and activated portions of its Vietnam facilities to handle an initial order of roughly 3 million panels.

Apple maintains notoriously strict component qualification standards, requiring suppliers to demonstrate consistent quality and production stability before parts enter the iPhone supply chain. Samsung's successful qualification signals that the display division can meet these demands at scale, addressing previous concerns about whether foldable screens could satisfy Apple's rigorous requirements.
