Apple's online store is down ahead of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max pre-orders, which begin at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time on Saturday, September 12. The store displays a message: "Almost ready for you. Pre-order begins at 5:00 a.m. PT. See you soon." Apple has used this early pre-order time for several years, shifting from the previous 12:01 a.m. start. The outage occurred earlier than usual today.

Customers in over 65 countries and regions, including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, the UAE, the U.K., and the U.S., will be able to pre-order both models when the store returns. The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are available in Burgundy, Glacier, Silver, and Black, with storage options of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB—marking the first time the 2TB option is offered on the smaller Pro model.

In the United States, the iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199 and the iPhone 18 Pro Max at $1,299. Both models launch on Friday, September 18, when deliveries and in-store availability begin.
