Apple plans to bring OLED displays to two more products this year, according to a new report. The MacBook Pro and iPad mini will reportedly get OLED upgrades from Samsung Display and LG Display, marking Apple's first OLED laptops and a major iPad mini refresh.

Apple currently uses OLED across its iPhone lineup, Apple Watch, and Vision Pro, but OLED remains rare in iPad and Mac devices. Only the iPad Pro offers OLED among iPads, while no Mac models have OLED displays. This is set to change with the M6 MacBook Pro and new iPad mini, both expected to ship this fall.

The shift to OLED comes as Apple seeks to reduce reliance on Chinese suppliers due to tightening US restrictions. By sourcing OLED panels from Korean suppliers Samsung Display and LG Display, Apple aims to diversify its supply chain while delivering improved display technology to these popular devices.
