Apple's current CEO, Tim Cook, and incoming CEO, John Ternus, recently spoke with Deadline about the upcoming executive transition. Both attended the premiere of 'Ted Lasso' season 4, which returns to Apple TV on August 5. Cook expressed gratitude for his 15 years as CEO and confidence in Ternus, stating, "John is the perfect person for this role." Ternus, who has been with Apple for 25 years, called the opportunity "beyond words."

When asked about his first actions as CEO on September 1, Ternus remained coy, saying, "You have to wait and see." He praised the current state of Apple TV+, highlighting the work of Eddy Cue and his team and expressing excitement about maintaining momentum with existing content. Ternus mentioned watching "Silo" and "Lucky," while Cook also cited "Widow’s Bay" and "Pluribus."

Cook humorously confirmed he plans to watch "Ted Lasso" season 4 on Apple Vision Pro, a practice he reportedly used for season 3, calling the experience "nothing quite like that."
