When the camera is active for photos, videos, or video calls (e.g., in Google Meet), a visible LED indicator will illuminate for both the wearer and those nearby, signaling that recording is in progress.

This feature goes a step further: if the LED indicator is obstructed, such as by a sticker, the glasses will detect this and disable the camera entirely. This approach mirrors a similar privacy measure introduced by Meta for its smart glasses.

While the effectiveness of these measures in ensuring public comfort with smart glasses remains uncertain, Samsung's implementation aims to prevent surreptitious recording. Availability and purchase details for the smart glasses are still undisclosed.
