Samsung Display and LG Display have begun mass‑producing OLED panels for Apple’s 2026 lineup, covering the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, the upcoming foldable iPhone, the iPad mini, and the MacBook Pro. Production for the foldable and iPhone models is already running, while Samsung’s new 8.6‑generation line will start MacBook panels next month, signaling a fully South Korean supply chain for Apple’s premium displays this.

ET News reports Samsung will be the exclusive supplier for the iPad mini, the foldable iPhone and the MacBook Pro, with orders of roughly 2 million, 10 million and an undisclosed quantity respectively. LG Display will provide 34 million OLED panels for the Apple Watch Series 12, and both firms together will deliver about 90 million panels for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. BOE, sidelined after last year’s quality issues, remains out of the mix.

The iPhone 18 Pro series will debut LTPO+ OLED screens, promising higher power efficiency and smoother responsiveness in low‑light scenarios. Samsung is also gearing up to mass‑produce 14‑inch and 16‑inch MacBook Pro panels, targeting roughly 2 million units this year. Apple’s reliance on two South Korean vendors consolidates its display supply but deepens the industry’s dependence on the iPhone market overall significantly for Apple.
