Luke Littler produced a devastating 17-5 demolition of Dirk van Duijvenbode to reach the World Matchplay Darts final at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. The world No 1 averaged 110.88, threw 16 maximums, and hit 50 per cent of his doubles, extending a run that includes a nine-darter and averages over 109 in previous rounds.

The victory pushed Littler's career earnings past £3m, opening a £2m gap over Luke Humphries at world No 2. He now targets a historic back-to-back title defence, a feat last achieved by Michael van Gerwen in 2016, and eyes a clean sweep of 2026 majors having already claimed the World Championship, UK Open, Premier League and Masters.

Gerwyn Price joined him in Sunday's showpiece with a 17-10 win over Gian van Veen, moving to world No 4 and reclaiming the Welsh No 1 spot from Jonny Clayton. The 'Iceman', seeking his first Phil Taylor trophy, averaged over 111 in the decisive session. The best-of-35-leg final begins Sunday at 8.15pm live on Sky Sports.
