John Lynch made clear the San Francisco 49ers are moving on from Brandon Aiyuk as training camp opens. "Brandon is on a left squad designation," Lynch said. "As such, he's not on our 90-man roster. And I'm personally and we as an organization are going to focus on the players that are here."

Aiyuk landed on the reserve/left team list last December after cutting off communication. The team hoped to trade him this offseason, but no deals materialized. Because of the "left team" designation, Aiyuk must apply for NFL reinstatement before any transaction. He has declined, instead waging a social media campaign to join the Washington Commanders, claiming he purchased a $10 million home in Loudoun County, Virginia, and posting photos in Commanders gear alongside quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Asked about a reported visit to Aiyuk's home, Lynch said only: "I can tell you that at the forefront of our thoughts with any player is their well-being."

Meanwhile, four Niners begin camp on the physically unable to perform list: George Kittle (Achilles), Alfred Collins (shoulder), Mykel Williams (ACL) and Isaac Guerendo (pectoral). Lynch said Kittle's rehab is "coming tremendous" and he's targeting Week 1 against the Rams in Melbourne, Australia.
