Duncan Scott prepares to return to Glasgow's Tollcross pool for the 2026 Commonwealth Games, carrying Scotland's swimming hopes. The Alloa swimmer, Scotland's most decorated Commonwealth Games athlete, brings 13 medals across three Games to his home event after surpassing shooter Alister Allan's record with six medals at Birmingham 2022.

Scott has yet to confirm his events for Glasgow but hints at a less demanding schedule than four years ago. "There's a few individual ones I'd like to swim and I'm always willing to put my hand up for the relays," the swimmer stated. His passion extends beyond competition, as he advocates for pool preservation and swimming education as community resources.

Despite holding the record, Scott remains unfazed by legacy. "Records are not something that I ever get too caught up in," he admits. The 26-year-old focuses on continuous improvement rather than medal counts. With "four more years in the legs and arms," Scott aims to add to his remarkable Commonwealth Games legacy in familiar Glasgow surroundings.
