FIFA has fined the Israel Football Association 150,000 Swiss Francs (£141,700) and issued a warning regarding its future conduct. The sanction stems from an investigation into an alleged offence of discrimination by the Palestine Football Association (PFA). As part of the punishment, the IFA must submit the size, layout, and positioning of any banners in stadiums to FIFA for approval at least 15 days before each match. 150,000 Swiss Francs will be paid to the IFA itself, but one third of this sum must be used to fund a comprehensive plan against discrimination and prevent future incidents.

The IFA also faces criticism for allowing football teams located on the territory of another association (Palestine) to compete in its national league, a practice FIFA stated should not occur. The decision remains subject to a potential appeal by the IFA. Meanwhile, the PFA reports that its national team's friendly matches against Mauritania and Benin in Morocco have been cancelled due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
