Chelsea claimed the Women's World Sevens series title with victory over Manchester United. The seven-a-side format, featuring rolling substitutes and no offsides, allowed for creative play with Aggie Beever-Jones shining with a rabona assist. Manager Sonia Bompastor was carried out by her team during the semi-finals, while United's Marc Skinner emerged in a dressing gown for the final.

Winners Chelsea earned $500,000 as prize money, with United receiving $250,000. The total prize pool stood at $1.5m, lower than previous events. Teams reaching the last four split their prize money evenly, with 50% going directly to players and staff. Each club also received a $1,000 grant for community projects.

The all-England competition saw FA Cup finalists Manchester City and Brighton absent alongside Liverpool and Arsenal. West Ham's Tuva Hansen suffered a serious injury during the tournament. For Chelsea, the win provided a positive note after a disappointing campaign where they missed out on WSL and Champions League titles. Leicester City participated despite recent relegation to WSL 2.
