Control Resonant is Remedy Entertainment's sequel to Control, with Dylan Faden as the new protagonist. Since Jesse Faden became Director and went missing, Dylan must traverse an altered Manhattan to find her. Combat has been revamped with melee replacing the original style, offering deep customization.

Remedy self-publishes with Annapurna co-financing; the title launches on Steam, Epic, PS5, and Xbox. Built on the Northlight engine, the game uses DirectX 12 exclusively. There is no native rendering option; players must use DLSS or FSR, with 100% scaling supported.

Frame generation is available for NVIDIA and AMD, and DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction is featured. Notably, Intel Xe SS is absent from the game files and settings, though FSR works on Intel GPUs. Ray tracing handles direct lighting, transparency, and debris, while path tracing manages indirect lighting.

HDR, ultra-wide support, and an uncapped frame rate are also included. This review evaluates performance across 35 contemporary graphics cards, analyzes VRAM usage, and provides insight into hardware requirements for an optimal experience.
