NFL Free Agency Moves

The Giants re-signed first-round pick Evan Neal on Wednesday despite his disappointing four-year tenure that included being a healthy scratch for most of the past season. Meanwhile, the Cowboys traded defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa to the 49ers for a 2026 third-round draft pick, while also sending Solomon Thomas to the Titans in a seventh-round pick swap. The Texans added tight end depth by agreeing to terms with free agent Foster Moreau, while the Packers secured defensive tackle Javon Hargrave on a two-year, $23 million contract. The Jets bolstered their offensive line by signing guard Dylan Parham to a two-year deal worth up to $20 million.

Veteran Signings and Restructures

The Bills landed pass rusher Bradley Chubb on a three-year, $43.5 million deal that could reach $52.5 million with $29 million guaranteed. The Vikings kept running back Aaron Jones in the fold by restructuring his contract, preventing his release. The Commanders added tight end Chig Okonkwo on a three-year contract, while the Patriots signed safety Kevin Byard to a one-year, $9 million deal. Byard led the NFL with interceptions in 2025 before becoming a free agent.

League Developments

The NFL is reinstating its accelerator program after pausing it in 2025, expanding it to include non-minority participants. The league also announced that Giants co-owners Steve, Laurie, and Jonathan Tisch are requesting to transfer their stakes to their children's trusts through a formal NFL memo. These moves signal continued evolution in both league operations and ownership structures across the NFL.
