The Dallas Cowboys have traded defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a 2026 third-round draft pick, according to sources. The move comes after Odighizuwa's fifth season with Dallas, where he recorded 3.5 sacks and 44 tackles in 17 games last year. The Cowboys had signed him to a four-year, $80 million contract extension in 2025.

In a separate transaction, Dallas is sending defensive lineman Solomon Thomas and a seventh-round pick to the Tennessee Titans for a seventh-round selection. Thomas, 30, previously played for new Titans coach Robert Saleh with both the 49ers and New York Jets. He recorded 27 tackles in 16 games for the Cowboys last season.

Odighizuwa, 27, has accumulated 17 career sacks and 216 tackles since being drafted in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. His $16.25 million base salary for 2026 and contract through 2028 made him a significant financial consideration for Dallas. The trade provides the Cowboys with valuable draft capital while the 49ers acquire a proven interior pass rusher to bolster their defensive line.
