The Green Bay Packers have traded defensive lineman Rashan Gary to the Dallas Cowboys for a 2027 fourth-round draft pick, according to ESPN sources. The move comes after the Cowboys failed to acquire Maxx Crosby from the Raiders last week, marking their second trade with Green Bay in a year.

Gary, who signed a four-year, $96 million contract in 2023, is set to make $18 million this season. The trade clears nearly $11 million in salary cap space for the Packers while giving the Cowboys a proven pass rusher who recorded 46.5 career sacks, sixth in Green Bay history since sacks became an official stat in 1982.

The Cowboys had been aggressive in pursuing Crosby, offering the Raiders the 12th overall pick in 2026, a second-round pick in 2027, and a veteran player before Crosby was dealt to the Ravens. With Micah Parsons recovering from a torn ACL, Gary's addition provides Dallas with another edge rusher as they prepare for the upcoming season.
