A Chinese developer, VoidTech, has successfully integrated an NVIDIA RTX 4060 graphics card into an Arm-powered Huawei Qingyun desktop featuring a Kunpeng 920 CPU. This achievement was made possible by utilizing NVIDIA's recently released native Windows-on-Arm toolkit for its RTX Spark platform.

The developer extracted the ARM64 driver from NVIDIA's software, enabling the GPU to be recognized by both NVIDIA's driver and TechPowerUp's GPU-Z. While the card can accelerate graphics tasks, it currently lacks video output, making it suitable for streaming applications. Overcoming compatibility issues with the Kunpeng platform, which was not designed for Windows, required additional modifications to ACPI tables.

Initial gaming tests with the RTX 4060 on this Arm setup yielded underwhelming performance, with the CPU appearing to be a significant bottleneck. This is attributed to the Huawei SoC's comparatively low CPU performance. Future advancements, particularly with more powerful SoCs like the Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite, suggest greater gaming potential for Windows-on-Arm devices.
