NVIDIA is set to launch its highly anticipated N1 and N1X laptop chips in the first quarter of 2026. The N1X chips will debut with NVIDIA's latest Windows-on-Arm platform, marking a significant move into this growing market segment. This release aims to compete with Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 Elite and X2 Plus, which have dominated the Windows-on-Arm space.

The N1 and N1X chips are based on the GB10 Superchip, which powers the DGX Spark. These processors feature 20 Arm v9.2 cores, divided into two clusters of ten, each supported by 16 MB of shared L3 cache. The memory subsystem uses a unified LPDDR5X-9400 fabric on a 256-bit bus, supporting up to 128 GB of memory and delivering approximately 301 GB/s of raw bandwidth. This setup is designed to offer high performance for demanding applications.

NVIDIA's strategy signals a strong commitment to the Windows-on-Arm ecosystem.
