NVIDIA is reportedly preparing its long-awaited Arm-based laptop processors for launch in the first half of 2026, according to The Wall Street Journal. The system-on-chip design integrates CPU, GPU, and NPU into a single package, targeting thin-and-light laptops with improved efficiency and battery life. The company is collaborating with MediaTek on these chips, which will use Arm architecture rather than x86 technology.

Internal project names include N1 and N1X, with the N1X reportedly featuring 20 Arm CPU cores and a 48-unit integrated GPU. Separately, NVIDIA is developing a solution with Intel that would combine an x86 CPU with NVIDIA graphics and neural processing technology. This approach aims to enable better graphics performance in slimmer laptops without requiring discrete graphics hardware.

Leakers revealed Lenovo accidentally confirmed upcoming Yoga and Legion models with these chips through a now-deleted support page, while Dell was spotted testing the N1X in a "Dell 16 Premium" system. Despite skipping CES 2026 without announcements, NVIDIA's upcoming GTC conference in March likely serves as the venue for revealing these new mobile processors.
