Microsoft has introduced Xbox Backward Compatibility on PC, initially offering four original Xbox titles: BLiNX: The Time Sweeper, Conker: Live and Reloaded, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, and Fuzion Frenzy. These games are accessible through the Xbox app on PC and are included with all Xbox Game Pass tiers. Digital console license holders can also utilize Xbox Play Anywhere. The feature requires Windows 11 and is compatible with PCs and handhelds like the ROG Xbox Ally.

Minimum hardware specifications include a GPU like the NVIDIA GTX 950 or AMD Radeon RX 550, a quad-core CPU, and 8 GB of RAM. Microsoft has implemented PC-specific enhancements such as 4x resolution upscaling, V-Sync, improved antialiasing, and adjustable settings.

Jason Ronald, VP of Next Generation, Xbox, confirmed that more backward-compatible titles are planned, though no timeline was provided. The official announcement detailed modest system requirements, with recommended specs suggesting a more powerful GPU and CPU for optimal performance.
