Acrab has introduced GELIX 1, its first-generation edge AI system-on-chip (SoC), and Agent Box, a personal edge AI system. These innovations aim to bring large AI models, previously confined to cloud infrastructure, to local edge systems. GELIX 1 is designed to enable state-of-the-art AI models with 100 billion parameters to run on edge devices, offering faster responses, enhanced user data privacy, and continued functionality with limited cloud connectivity.

Agent Box, powered by Acrab's full-stack platform, acts as a personal edge AI center. It facilitates local large model inference, persistent memory, multimodal interactions, and agent orchestration. This system offers a one-time investment alternative to recurring cloud AI token fees, addressing "token anxiety" and enabling AI to function as an always-available assistant. GELIX 1, built on a 5-nanometer process, integrates CPU, GPU, and NPU resources with a unified memory architecture. It boasts a 20-core Arm CPU and 273 GB/s of unified memory bandwidth, supporting local deployment of models up to the 100 billion parameter class. Acrab also provides the necessary software and system layers, including an optimized runtime and developer toolchain, to create agentic products. The company plans to collaborate with device manufacturers to integrate its platform into various products, aiming to accelerate the development and deployment of intelligent AI products across industries.
