TerraMaster has released the D8 Hybrid 2, an upgraded 4+4 bay Direct-Attached Storage (DAS) device. This hybrid storage solution combines 4 SATA HDDs/SSDs with 4 M.2 NVMe SSDs in a single enclosure, targeting users needing both high-speed active storage and archival capacity.

Supporting up to 152 TB of total storage, the D8 Hybrid 2 utilizes USB 3.2 Gen 2 with 10 Gbps bandwidth, delivering read speeds up to 1020 MB/s with NVMe SSDs and up to 980 MB/s with HDDs. This facilitates rapid large-file transfers and smoother 4K/8K editing.

The device features TerraMaster's new TPM technology for improved energy efficiency and safety, along with a redesigned chassis for better airflow and tool-free drive installation.
