TerraMaster has launched the D1 SSD, a rugged portable storage enclosure built for photographers, outdoor professionals, and mobile workers. The device features an aircraft-grade aluminum unibody chassis with IP67 water and dust resistance, capable of surviving submersion in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. It also withstands up to 1.2 tons of crush pressure, protecting data in extreme conditions.

The enclosure uses a USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface delivering sequential read/write speeds up to 1020 MB/s, making it suitable for 4K video editing and large photo backups. It supports M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs across PCIe 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0 standards with capacities up to 8TB. The fanless passive cooling design ensures silent operation while the all-metal housing provides enhanced heat dissipation.

Compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, TVs, and OTG smartphones, the D1 SSD weighs just 146g. Priced at $40 with a 15% discount available during the first two weeks, it comes backed by a 2-year warranty and lifetime technical support.
