Range Rover’s latest effort, the GT, answers a long‑standing question: what would a true grand tourer look like if it weren’t an SUV? Martin Limpert, managing director, says the result is the most car‑like yet unmistakably capable Range Rover ever built, now on the electrified EMA platform.

The EMA, the brand’s third electrifiable architecture, sits alongside the MLA used by current Rovers and the JEA platform Jaguar is developing for its upcoming Type 01. The GT shares its four‑door grand‑tourer DNA with that future model, set to debut later this year.

Inside, the GT abandons the SUV cabin for an ultraminimalist layout twist. Dual OLED screens replace the usual triple‑screen setup, while a standard head‑up display adds a modern touch. The design still meets European safety rules that demand physical controls for certain functions.
