Microsoft has rolled out the Xbox app for every Arm‑based Windows 11 PC, letting users launch their familiar library on devices ranging from lightweight laptops to handhelds. The move follows a year of ARM performance gains and DirectX updates that made portable Windows gaming feel more like a console experience.

More than 85 % of the Game Pass catalog now runs natively on these ARM machines, and titles that remain unsupported can be streamed via Xbox Cloud Gaming. Microsoft also upgraded the Prism emulator with AVX/AVX2 support and added Epic Anti‑Cheat, unlocking games such as Gears of War: Reloaded and Fortnite.

Developers and OEMs are now encouraged to certify more titles, while Windows 11’s Performance Fit tool advises users on which games will run smoothly on their hardware. Expect a steady stream of updates throughout the year as Microsoft and its partners push compatibility, meaning ARM‑based PCs could soon rival traditional x86 gaming rigs.
