Kioxia America has unveiled its BG7 Series SSDs, the first client solutions featuring the company's latest BiCS FLASH generation 8 3D flash memory. This new series, designed for PC OEMs, incorporates innovative CBA (CMOS directly Bonded to Array) technology, delivering a superior balance of performance, features, and efficiency for commercial and consumer notebooks and desktops. The BG7 Series showcases significant performance gains over its predecessor, the BG6 Series, with random read/write speeds up to 1,000,000 IOPS and sequential read speeds reaching 7,000 MB/s.

This represents approximately a 10% improvement in random performance and a 16% boost in sequential read speeds. The true standout feature, however, is its power efficiency. Thanks to the new CBA technology, the BG7 Series achieves an impressive 67% improvement in power consumption during sequential write operations.

For PC OEMs and system integrators, this translates into longer battery life for notebooks and more energy-efficient desktops without compromising on speed, making the BG7 Series a compelling upgrade for next-generation computing hardware.
