At CES 2026, Kioxia unveiled two groundbreaking storage solutions: the BG7 client SSD series and the massive 245.76 TB LC9 enterprise drive. The BG7 is the first client SSD to utilize BiCS Gen 8 3D flash memory with CBA (CMOS directly Bonded to Array) technology. Targeting PC OEMs, it delivers up to 1,000,000 IOPS random read/write and 7,000 MB/s sequential speeds—a 10-16% improvement over the previous generation.

Available in M.2 2230, 2242, and 2280 form factors, it is ideal for workstations and laptops. Simultaneously, Kioxia showcased the LC9, a 245.76 TB enterprise SSD. This drive utilizes BiCS Gen 8 QLC flash and a 32-die stack of 2 Tb chips in a compact E3.

L form factor. The CBA technology enables an industry-first 8 TB capacity within a small 154 BGA package. These innovations represent a massive leap in storage density and speed, addressing the growing demands of AI workloads and data centers while offering consumers significantly faster PCIe 4.0 performance.
