Kingston has unveiled the IronKey Locker+ 50 G2, a hardware-encrypted USB drive featuring FIPS 197 and XTS-AES 256-bit encryption. This next-generation device adds enterprise-grade security against BadUSB vulnerabilities and brute-force attacks, protecting sensitive data with digitally signed firmware. The LP50 G2 offers dual password modes - Complex (6-16 characters) and Passphrase (10-64 characters) - and includes features like a virtual keyboard and anti-fingerprint coating to thwart keyloggers and physical tampering.

Kingston positions the LP50 G2 as the industry's first XTS-AES 256-bit hardware-encrypted IronKey lineup, validated by a NIST-authorized lab. It boasts three best-in-class FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified drives in its portfolio, catering to consumer, enterprise, and government security needs. The drive supports Windows and macOS, requires no installation, and is available in capacities from 32GB to 256GB.

Available immediately, the LP50 G2 includes a limited five-year warranty and free technical support, reinforcing Kingston's reputation for reliability. While targeting businesses prioritizing data protection, its user-friendly design aims for broader adoption beyond traditional enterprise users.
