Apricorn, the leading global provider of quantum‑resistant hardware‑encrypted storage, has released the 4TB Aegis Secure Key 3 (ASK3). The new drive is the largest capacity hardware‑encrypted USB flash drive on the market, combining a mini‑SSD with Apricorn’s software‑free authentication to deliver speed, portability, and security in a thumb‑drive form factor.\n\nThe ASK3’s architecture includes a new bridge controller chip that boosts read speeds by up to 31 % and write speeds by up to 16 % over the prior generation. Its 4TB capacity is eight times that of comparable devices, enabling organizations to move terabytes of secure data without relying on wide‑area networks.\n\nDesigned to exceed FIPS 140‑3 Level 3 validation, the drive has been formally submitted to NIST’s CMVP.

An environmental protection system monitors temperature and electrical conditions, shutting the device down when thresholds are breached and resuming safely once conditions normalize.\n\nCEO Jeanclaude Toma said the new ASK3 satisfies the growing demand for scalable, off‑line edge security. Managing Director Kurt Markley added that the drive’s ruggedness and performance make it ideal for field operations, office travel, and harsh environments. It is available through Apricorn’s global reseller network.
