GPD's Win Max 3 gaming handheld will launch on Indiegogo on September 2, featuring AMD's Strix Halo Ryzen AI Max+ processors and a 165 Hz AMOLED display. Three variants will be available: an entry-level model with AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 388, 32 GB RAM, and 1 TB SSD at $1,750; a mid-tier version with 64 GB RAM and 2 TB storage for $2,246; and a top-tier model with Ryzen AI Max+ 395, 128 GB RAM, and 2 TB storage at $3,499.

The high pricing stems from ongoing memory shortages, according to GPD. The company stated it lacks the bargaining power of major brands but is committed to preserving the UMPC market from price erosion and homogenization. GPD emphasized that $1,750 represents the best possible price for a Strix Halo system.

Key features include a 9.06-inch 2400×1504 native landscape display with 1050 nits peak brightness, 105% DCI-P3 coverage, and delta-E values under one. Additional specs include LPDDR5 8000 MT/s memory, a 97Wh replaceable battery, and modular design. All Indiegogo backers receive a free fan module, with US backers getting tariff-paid shipping.
