Ayaneo has officially launched the Next 2, its latest Windows gaming handheld featuring AMD's powerful Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor. The device succeeds the original Ayaneo Next from 2022 with significant upgrades including a redesigned chassis with larger grips and a stunning 9.06-inch OLED display. The panel delivers 2400 × 1504 resolution with switchable refresh rates up to 165 Hz, 1155 nits peak brightness, and full DCI-P3 color coverage.

Powering the Next 2 are AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ 395 or Ryzen AI Max 385 processors built on Zen 5 "Strix Halo" architecture using TSMC's 4 nm process. The flagship Max+ 395 packs 16 cores, 32 threads, and boost clocks up to 5.1 GHz, paired with a Radeon 8060S GPU featuring 40 compute units. The integrated XDNA 2 NPU delivers up to 126 TOPS of AI performance. Cooling comes from a dual-fan thermal solution with dual exhaust airflow, while a massive 116 Wh battery provides extended gaming sessions.

Pricing starts at $1,799 for the base configuration with pre-orders opening soon via Indiegogo and shipments expected in June 2026. Available configurations range from $1,799 to $4,299 depending on RAM and storage options. The premium pricing reflects the cutting-edge hardware but positions the Next 2 as a high-end option in the growing Windows handheld gaming market.
