Capcom has released a free new mode called "Leon Must Die Forever" for Resident Evil Requiem, available today for players who've completed the main story. The mode offers additional content for fans who've already finished Standard and Insanity difficulty modes, providing more challenges with the popular character Leon Kennedy.

The new minigame features stronger enemy variants than the base game, five difficulty ranks, and "enhancer abilities" that power up as Leon defeats zombies. Players must fight through increasingly chaotic waves of enemies to defeat the final boss before time runs out, all in locations previously visited during the campaign.

Today's update also brings bug fixes across all platforms and PC support for the DualSense controller's adaptive triggers and haptic abilities. Resident Evil Requiem has been a commercial success for Capcom, selling 5 million copies in its first week since its February release. Capcom previously teased the mode alongside a story expansion still in development.
