ZA/UM Studio—creator of *Disco Elysium*—has released a trailer for its upcoming sci-fi RPG *Zero Parades: For Dead Spies*, set to launch PC on May 21 for $40. The game, initially teased as Project C4, features a hand-drawn, scrapbook aesthetic and focuses on espionage in a fractured dystopian world. Despite the studio’s turbulent history—including the 2022 firing of co-creator Robert Kurvitz, art director Aleksander Rostov, and writer Helen Hindpere amid allegations of misconduct and IP disputes—the team remains defiant, with Kurvitz and Rostov founding a new studio to counter claims of wrongdoing.

Their open letter accused Estonian investors Ilmar Kompus and Tõnis Haavel, who previously faced fraud convictions, of fostering a hostile work environment, particularly for women. A former employee corroborated these claims, noting no women in ZA/UM’s creative leadership. Meanwhile, ex-staffers launched *Longdue*, developing *Hopetown*, a spiritual successor to *Disco Elysium*.

The trailer’s release comes as ZA/UM seeks to prove its creative resilience amid legal battles and industry scrutiny.
