Apple unveils ultra‑customizable Pride Luminance watch face

Apple’s watchOS 26.5 adds a Pride‑themed Luminance watch face, the most flexible dial in the lineup. Users can pick anywhere from one to twelve hues from a rainbow‑spanning palette that also includes black, white, brown and gray. The chosen colors render as a gradient, selectable in radial starburst or linear rectangular patterns. It works on all Apple Watch models supporting watchOS 26.

The face supports two dial shapes: a full‑bleed rectangle that spreads color edge‑to‑edge, or a compact circle that reserves space for four complications. Animation shrinks the display to thin colored lines on a black background when the wrist is down, then expands to the full palette on raise, adding a slow hue shift. The gradient reacts to ambient light, adding subtle depth.

watchOS 26.5 and iOS 26.5 also ship a matching Pride Luminance wallpaper, letting users apply the same twelve‑color scheme to Lock and Home screens; the lock screen collapses the colors onto black when secured. Release candidates are already available, and public rollout is slated for next week, meaning anyone updating will instantly gain the new customizable dial. Sync the colors across devices via iCloud.
