Resident Evil Requiem Mini-Game DLC Arrives Early May After Golden Week

Capcom has confirmed a combat-based mini-game DLC for Resident Evil Requiem is launching in early May. Director Koshi Nakanishi and producer Masato Kumazawa dropped the hint in a Denfaminico Gamer interview, though they stopped short of an exact release date.

The timing lines up with Japan's Golden Week holidays, which run from April 29 through May 6. Producer Masato Kumazawa suggested that players who want to jump into the new content right away should clear the main story during that period. "If you're planning to play it, clearing the main story during Golden Week would be just right," he said.

There's a catch: the mini-game won't be accessible until players finish the base game's main quest. A separate story expansion remains under development, though Capcom has not shared additional details about that content.

This marks Capcom's first post-launch content for Resident Evil Requiem, which released as a Japan-exclusive PS4 title. The studio had been relatively quiet about post-release plans until this point, making the Golden Week timing the first concrete window fans have had.
