ASUS unveiled the ROG Rapture GT-BN98 at Gamescom 2026 as the world's first Wi-Fi 8 gaming router. The quad-band router features eight external antennas and a quad-core 2.6 GHz processor with 2 GB RAM and 256 MB flash. It delivers up to 25,000 Mbps total throughput, with 1,376 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, 5,764 Mbps each on dual 5 GHz bands, and 11,529 Mbps on 6 GHz with 320 MHz channel support.

Wired ports include dual 10G, quad 2.5G, and one gigabit LAN, plus USB 3.2 and 2.0. Software highlights include Adaptive QoE, Wi-Fi Insight, GTNet for optimized game routing, AiProtection with ad blocking, and Guest Network Pro supporting five SSIDs. No pricing announced.
