Asus unveiled its first Wi-Fi 8 router, the ROG Rapture GT-BN98 Pro, ahead of Computex through the Taipei Computer Association's Best Choice Award ceremony. The router promises significant performance improvements over previous models, targeting gamers and tech enthusiasts seeking cutting-edge networking solutions.

The GT-BN98 Pro delivers 25% faster throughput and 25% lower latency compared to current routers, along with increased range and improved QoS. Features include 10 Gbps ports, ROG gaming acceleration, AiMesh for multi-device coverage, and AiProtection security. The design closely resembles previous high-end Asus routers with a silver and partially see-through top cover.

Unlike the concept Asus displayed at CES, this production model appears more conventional, suggesting practical considerations may have influenced the final design.
