ASUS Republic of Gamers unveiled the ROG Strix GS-BE7200, a new Wi-Fi 7 router targeting gamers. It delivers up to 7200 Mbps throughput using Multi-Link Operation and 160 MHz channels. The design features six internal antennas, including a 5-antenna 5 GHz system for a claimed 15% range boost over older 4T4R designs.

The router includes dedicated ROG Gaming Network traffic prioritization for low-latency play. It supports AiMesh for whole-home coverage and a Smart Home Master to segment IoT, kid, and VPN networks. Built-in VPN support covers up to 30 clients using WireGuard, OpenVPN, and IPSec protocols.

This launch follows the broader industry push into Wi-Fi 7, which promises higher capacity and lower latency for congested networks. For competitive gamers and smart home users, the GS-BE7200 aims to provide a stable, high-speed backbone. Availability and pricing details are still pending from ASUS.
