Commodore has unveiled the Commodore 77, a special edition Commodore 64 Ultimate computer inspired by Cyberpunk 2077, in collaboration with CD PROJEKT RED. Shipping in early 2027, the device features a smoked gray translucent case, soft turquoise glow, graffiti tags, and an exclusive Arasaka-themed cartridge containing an original demo by Polish C64 demo group Arise with music by chiptune legend Luk Hash. The demo utilizes 24-channel stereo SID chip music and a 2 MB cartridge chip, exclusive to the Commodore 64 Ultimate line.

Peri Fractic, Commodore's President, CEO, and Chief Product Officer, emphasized the collaboration's alignment with Cyberpunk 2077's spirit of creative freedom. Patrick Mills, Franchise Content Strategy Lead at CD PROJEKT RED, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership. The Commodore 77 achieves 77 MHz via an AMD Artix XC7A100T FPGA processor, maintains 99.9%+ compatibility with original C64 software, and includes themed accessories like a spiral-bound user guide, stickers, pins, and custom BASIC 2.0 boot screen.

It marks Commodore's first franchise hardware partnership in its 68-year history.
