ASUS GPU Price Hikes Hit China Market

ASUS has adjusted pricing for GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs in China due to memory component shortages. The company increased prices across various models while AMD Radeon series remains unchanged. At the top end, ASUS raised RTX 5090 D v2 SKUs by approximately $72, with other models seeing increases from $14.50 to $45.

Interestingly, some older and low-end SKUs like the popular GT 1030 and GT 710 series also experienced price increases of up to $8. The RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB series was the exception, with prices remaining unchanged. This pricing strategy reflects current market conditions and component availability challenges affecting the semiconductor industry.

AMD's Radeon series reportedly maintained stable prices, which industry analysts attribute to these GPUs already having undergone a previous price adjustment cycle. GDDR6 memory, used in AMD cards, appears to be in better supply than the GDDR7 memory used in NVIDIA's latest RTX 50 Series, creating this divergence in pricing strategies between the two GPU manufacturers.
