AMD's David McAfee confirmed the company is closely monitoring the volatile memory market to keep Radeon RX 9000 series prices stable. After a December price hike, AMD is working with its add-in-board partners to balance memory costs and final product pricing. This effort aims to counter anticipated increases in 2026.

The executive cited long-term partnerships with DRAM manufacturers to secure supply and favorable economics for AMD's graphics business. However, he admitted forecasting future trends is difficult. Managing the memory ecosystem is a core focus, as building competitively priced cards with AIB partners becomes challenging without affordable memory.

AMD previously faced public perception issues with its RDNA 4 products, as distributors struggled with rising retail prices and supply. The company is now considering a potential revival of older Zen 3 AM4 processors amid the memory crisis. All eyes will be on whether AMD can maintain its MSRPs as memory market pressures continue into the new year.
