Logitech Faces Class Action Over Tariff Price Hikes

Logitech is facing a proposed class action lawsuit for not providing tariff refunds to customers. In April 2025, the company raised prices on 51% of its products, with increases up to 25%. The complaint, filed by SJK Development and California resident Ala Awadalla in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, seeks to recover monies extracted from consumers as offset for import tariffs later declared unlawful by the US Supreme Court.

The plaintiffs argue they paid inflated prices for Logitech mice without receiving refunds, credits, or compensation for the tariff-related costs. Logitech did not publicly announce the price hikes, which remain in effect. The complaint emphasizes that Logitech executives, including CFO Matteo Anversa, informed investors that price increases offset tariff impacts.

During a May earnings call discussing fiscal Q4 2026, Anversa stated that US price actions and favorable foreign exchange more than offset tariff effects, calling it the highest profitability level in company history outside of the COVID peak. The lawsuit contends that Logitech retained all tariff-related price increases while awaiting federal reimbursement.
