Xbox is expanding its backward compatibility efforts by bringing games from its original console to PC for the first time. This initiative, dubbed "Xbox Backward Compatibility on PC," aims to preserve gaming legacies and allow players to experience classic titles on modern platforms.

Starting today, four original Xbox games are available on PC and handheld devices through all Game Pass tiers: Blinx: The Time Sweeper, Conker: Live and Reloaded, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, and Fuzion Frenzy. Players who already own digital versions on Xbox will gain access on PC. These PC versions feature enhancements like customizable graphics, VSync, improved anti-aliasing, and language options, requiring Windows 11.

This rollout is the beginning of a larger plan to bring more Xbox games to PC. Additionally, achievements are being added to original Xbox games, with the first four titles receiving them in the coming months. Xbox is also reportedly testing a program to digitize disc-based games, allowing play without physical discs.
