Samsung has officially launched its first credit card in the U.S., the Galaxy Card, in partnership with Barclays U.S. Consumer Bank and operating on the Visa network. Available as a virtual or a premium black metal card, it's designed to integrate with Samsung Wallet and offers a variety of cash rewards.

Consumers can earn 5% cash rewards on eligible purchases made directly with Samsung, as well as on Samsung VIP Advantage memberships. The card also provides 3% cash rewards on purchases made with Samsung Wallet, 2% on streaming services (like Netflix, Disney Plus, and Spotify), and 1% on all other purchases. New cardholders can receive a $200 cash reward after spending $2,000 within the first 90 days. The Galaxy Card has a $0 annual fee.

Applications for the Galaxy Card opened on July 22, coinciding with Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event. This move positions Samsung to compete in the financial services sector, offering consumers new ways to earn rewards on everyday purchases and within the Samsung ecosystem.
