Apple has released macOS 27.3 beta 1, which includes a new screensaver called Pro Light. The screensaver is an animated version of the wallpaper designed for the new MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display. The wallpaper features flowing, metallic-looking lines that spell out the word 'PRO.' The screensaver shows light slowly moving along these lines, illuminating different parts of the lettering as others fade into darkness.
The design has proven divisive, with some users comparing it to a glitchy, broken screen. This comes amid recent reports of display issues affecting the iPhone Duo. The screensaver is available for download and includes a slow-motion effect that makes the light streaks move much slower.
Basic Apple Guy has also created a recreation of the artwork, and a full-res frame is available for download.
