Apple's macOS 27.3 beta 1 introduces native Markdown rendering in Quick Look, allowing users to preview .md files with proper formatting instead of raw syntax. This update aligns with Apple's broader push for Markdown support, including Notes app integration and Siri AI's use of SKILL.md files for developer instructions. The feature simplifies documentation previewing and supports the growing use of Markdown in AI agent workflows.
Users can now view headings, bold text, lists, and links directly in Quick Look without opening external apps. The update also includes Safari enhancements like Vertical Tabs and Adaptive Dark Mode, alongside expanded Siri AI capabilities for third-party developers.
