2026 Lucid Air Touring Review: A Polished Electric Sedan

The 2026 Lucid Air Touring feels like a complete car, finally delivering on the startup's long-delayed promise. Starting at $79,900, this AWD model offers 620 hp and a 396-mile EPA range. Its 0.197 drag coefficient makes it the most aerodynamic car on sale, a key factor in its efficiency.

Lucid's journey has been turbulent, from a 2017 prototype to Saudi-funded production and pandemic delays. The Air now competes with the Gravity SUV, and sales doubled in 2025. This Touring model represents a more polished experience than the earlier Grand Touring, addressing initial refinement issues at a lower price point.

Despite weighing 5,009 lbs, the Air Touring hits 60 mph nearly as fast as a McLaren F1. Its three drive modes—Sprint, Swift, Smooth—remember regen settings, though it lacks coasting efficiency of some German EVs. Cold-weather testing still yielded strong efficiency, proving Lucid's powertrain is mature.
