Akko introduces the U1 Series mechanical keyboard switches as it approaches its 10th anniversary. Built around material innovation, structural refinement, and acoustic tuning, the series features a newly engineered POM-blend material that retains self-lubricating properties while improving smoothness and consistency for a cleaner sound profile.

A redesigned cylindrical stem and optimized rail structure deliver focused, lower-pitched thocky keystrokes with reduced rail contact. Paired with an upgraded POM top housing, the design suppresses spring ping and resonance. Each switch is precision factory-lubed for smooth, stable feel out of the box. The debut Creamy Yellow U1 combines the crisp character of the V3 version with the deeper sound of the V5 version, balancing acoustic preferences.

A specially designed light-guiding column enhances RGB diffusion for brighter, even effects. Packaging upgrades to a standard 100-switch box improve convenience for replacement, storage, and bulk assembly while reducing waste. Additional variants include Creamy Purple U1 for tactile clarity, Piano U1 for linear smoothness, and Crystal Silver U1 for fast gaming actuation.
