Zhitai (致钛), the consumer brand of YMTC (Yangtze Memory Technologies), launches the TiPlus 9100 1 TB SSD based on the MAP1802 Gen 5 controller and 267-layer Xtacking 4.0 TLC NAND. This DRAM-less design uses 64 MB HMB and marks the first review under our revised 2026 test suite.

The drive employs YMTC's X4-9070 3D TLC flash built on the innovative Xtacking architecture, which bonds separate memory and logic wafers for higher speeds. Maxio's MAP1802 controller, fabricated on TSMC 6 nm, delivers PCIe Gen 5 x4 performance without a DRAM cache premium. Endurance is rated at 600 TBW with a five-year warranty.

Pricing from JD.com lists the 1 TB at 1319 RMB (~$160), 2 TB at 2099 RMB (~$260), and 4 TB at 4399 RMB (~$540), excluding 13% VAT. As a China-first brand, international availability remains limited. The review evaluates sequential and random performance, thermals, and power efficiency on the updated platform.
