Castleford Tigers ended a significant losing streak with an 18-14 victory over Hull FC on Friday night, marking a crucial turnaround after conceding 144 points in their previous three defeats.

The win was achieved despite the continued absence of head coach Ryan Carr for personal reasons. Castleford established an early lead with tries from Renouf Atoni and Mikaele Ravalawa, with Tom Weaver converting one and adding a penalty to make it 12-0. Hull FC fought back, scoring through Joe Batchelor and Harvey Barron, even taking the lead briefly.

However, Liam Hood scored a decisive try from dummy-half with 12 minutes remaining. Weaver added further points with his kicking, securing the win for the Tigers. This victory sees Castleford climb two places to ninth in the Super League table, while Hull FC remains in 12th position.
