Mikel Arteta has confirmed he intends to sign a new contract with Arsenal, easing fan concerns as he enters the final year of his current deal. Despite this, co-chairman Josh Kroenke had previously stated a new contract was an "upmost priority".

Arteta expressed his happiness at the club, stating that a contract extension will be resolved "in an organic way." He said, "Everybody feels comfortable that the timing of the contract is not going to be an issue because my will certainly is to be here and I'm very happy here. My feeling from the club is the same one."

Regarding Arsenal's attacking capabilities for the upcoming season, Arteta believes the team has sufficient firepower, provided key players remain fit. He highlighted the team's resilience last season when facing injuries to important goal-scoring players.
